These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Naam Jap website and Android application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Description of the Service
The Service provides a digital tool for counting mantra repetitions during personal spiritual practice, including a 108-bead counter, a mantra library, a goal calculator, and usage statistics. The Service is provided free of charge.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Permitted use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without prior written permission;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- Use automated means to access the Service at scale or in a manner that burdens our infrastructure;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Submit false, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content through the contact form.
Intellectual property
All content, design, and materials made available through the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Mantras featured in the Service form part of a shared spiritual and cultural heritage and are not claimed as proprietary content. Typography and other open-source components are used under their respective licences.
User-submitted content
When you submit content through the contact form, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and store that content solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and improving the Service.
Spiritual practice notice
The Service is a counting and tracking tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, religious, or therapeutic advice. The selection and practice of any mantra is a personal decision. If you are experiencing health or mental health concerns, please consult a qualified professional. The Service is intended to complement, not replace, professional care.
Third-party services
The Service may link to or rely upon third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party, and your dealings with them are solely between you and that third party.
